Comments:
After AHS I received a BA from the University of Texas and joined the US Navy to avoid being drafted. Following two years of flight training I was first attached to VA-37 then VA-86 for cruises on the USS Coral Sea in the Tonkin Gulf and the USS America in the Mediterranean. The Navy Reserves followed Active Duty, flying with RTU-1074, VR-58 & two years as CO of VR-62. A year after completion of Active Duty I was hired by Southern Airways, which became Republic Airlines, which became Northwest Airlines, which is now Delta Airlines. One interview, a 30 yr job. Career aircraft: T-34, T2B&C, F9, A7A,B,&E, Martin 404, DC9, C9B, Airbus A320, Boeing 757, DC10. I am now retired from both the military and the airlines.
